NEET photo size requirements

Use the bulletin, not last year’s memory

NEET application software has used both pixel sizes and file-size windows in past cycles. This page does not store a “standard NEET size.” Copy the numbers from the bulletin that matches your application year.

NEET photograph specifications are published in the information bulletin for that year. They can change. Use the bulletin, not an old screenshot of a form.

PixelThinks cannot guarantee that a government portal will accept the file.

How to use

  1. Upload a recent, well-lit photograph with a plain background if the bulletin asks for one.
  2. Enter the pixel size or KB limit from the current NEET bulletin.
  3. Resize or compress, then check that the face is sharp.
  4. Download the image and verify the file details on your device.

Common problems

The photo exceeds the upload limit

Set Target size to the maximum KB in the bulletin after the crop looks right. JPEG usually beats PNG for a colour portrait.

The face is too small in the frame

Resize will not invent a closer headshot. Crop first so the head and shoulders fill the frame the way the bulletin sample shows, then set dimensions.

The image looks pixelated

Starting from a small social-media image and enlarging it adds blocks, not detail. Use a larger camera file if you have one.

Wrong format

If the bulletin names JPG, export JPEG here. Confirm the downloaded type.

The portal rejects a file that looks fine

NTA’s checker may read bytes, dimensions, or both. Compare the downloaded file with every line in the bulletin. This site cannot override a portal error.

The file is below a minimum size

If the bulletin names a minimum KB value, a tiny crop may miss it. Keep more of the original pixels or use higher JPEG quality.

Frequently asked questions

Can I resize a NEET photo to the bulletin size?

You can enter those numbers here. PixelThinks does not verify the bulletin and does not guarantee NTA will accept the file.

Does PixelThinks upload my NEET photo?

No. Processing stays in the browser when supported. Your photograph is not uploaded to our server.

Can I compress and resize in one go?

Set dimensions first, then a KB target if the bulletin has both. Inspect the preview after the run.

Does reducing file size lower quality?

It can. JPEG compression removes detail. Stop when the face still looks clear, even if that is slightly under a maximum KB value.

Can I prepare a NEET photo on my phone?

Yes. Keep the original in your gallery and download a separate copy for the form.

Is the NEET photo tool free?

Yes. No signup and no daily cap. One photo at a time, up to 30MB.
