CUET photo size requirements

CUET uses the same kind of NTA upload checks as other exams

The form may refuse a file for bytes, pixels, or format. Work from the bulletin that belongs to your application year rather than from a generic “exam photo size” chart.

CUET photograph rules are in the information bulletin for that cycle. Treat any size you saw on a blog or a previous form as unverified until you open this year’s bulletin.

PixelThinks cannot guarantee that a government portal will accept the file.

How to use

  1. Upload the photograph you will use for CUET.
  2. Enter the size from the current CUET bulletin.
  3. Resize or compress and review the face.
  4. Download the result and keep the original.

Common problems

Upload fails on the CUET portal

Match extension and size to the bulletin. A WhatsApp forward of your photo is often already compressed and then the wrong type; start from the camera original if you still have it.

The file is too large

Set Target size from the bulletin’s maximum. JPEG is usually the smaller option for a colour photo.

The photo looks washed out

That is often the original lighting, not the resizer. Compression can make it worse. Use a better original if you can retake the picture.

Distorted face

Do not stretch to fill the box. Crop to the bulletin’s ratio, then resize with proportions kept.

Wrong format

Export JPG if that is what the bulletin names. Do not only rename a screenshot.

Below the minimum size

If a minimum KB is listed, avoid over-cropping a small image. Raise quality or keep more of the frame.

Frequently asked questions

Can I resize a CUET photo on PixelThinks?

Yes. Use the dimensions or KB limit from the current bulletin. Acceptance on the CUET portal is not guaranteed.

Do you upload my CUET photograph?

No. Images are processed locally in your browser whenever supported.

Can I change dimensions and file size?

Yes. Set pixels first, then a KB target if the bulletin includes both.

Does this work on a phone?

Yes. Download the processed file and check it in your gallery before you apply.

Will compression make the photo unusable?

Only if quality is set too low. Compare the preview with the original and keep the version that still looks like a clear ID photo.

Is CUET photo resize free?

Yes. No account and no daily cap. One image at a time, up to 30MB.
