Why emoji artwork can look different
Emoji are drawn using fonts available on your system. The same character can look different across operating systems. PNG and WebP support a transparent background; JPEG uses white.
Type the character you want to render
Paste an emoji into the input field, or choose one using your system’s emoji keyboard. The tool draws that text onto an image canvas rather than downloading artwork from an emoji collection. A short sequence can be entered, but the canvas is intended for a single symbol or a brief group, not a paragraph.
Some emoji are composed of several Unicode characters joined together. A family, flag, or skin-tone variant may therefore look like one symbol while containing multiple code points. If your platform does not support the sequence, it may display separate symbols or a missing-character box.
Why the design can vary by system
Emoji artwork comes from the fonts available to the browser and operating system. The same character can appear differently on Windows, macOS, or a phone. This tool renders the version your system provides; it does not let you choose another company’s emoji artwork.
Open the generated preview before downloading. Check that the correct symbol and variation appeared, especially for newer characters or multi-character sequences. If you need identical visual artwork across a team, distribute the exported image rather than asking each person to render the same text on a different system.
Canvas dimensions and transparent output
Width and height control the raster canvas in pixels. A 512 × 512 canvas is square; a rectangular canvas gives the symbol additional surrounding space on one axis. The character is centered and sized relative to the available area. Very wide text can be scaled to fit, so keep sequences short.
Choose PNG or WebP for a transparent surrounding canvas. JPEG fills that space white because it cannot store an alpha channel. If the image will sit on a colored slide or a dark webpage, inspect its boundary there instead of judging it only on a white preview background.

Using the downloaded image
The exported file is an ordinary still image. It does not retain text editing behavior, and increasing its size later cannot restore detail beyond the rendered canvas. Generate at a suitable resolution for your intended use, then resize if a particular layout needs smaller dimensions.
For web content, provide an appropriate text alternative when the emoji carries meaning. If it is only decoration beside equivalent text, it does not need to repeat that text for assistive technology. Use the image because it helps the message, not as a substitute for clear wording.

Your installed fonts may not contain that character or sequence. Try a supported emoji or a device with a font that includes it. Enlarging the canvas does not add missing glyphs.
Can I pick a custom background color?
This version uses transparency for PNG and WebP, and white for JPEG. It does not include a custom background-color control.
