UPSC signature size requirements
Keep the writing intact
A signature that fills the box too tightly can clip loops; one that sits in a sea of white may look faint after a later compress step. Crop with a small margin, then resize to the notice.
UPSC signature dimensions and file-size limits are published with each examination. Confirm them on the official site; they can differ from photograph rules.
PixelThinks cannot guarantee that a government portal will accept the file.

How to use
- Upload a cropped signature on a light background.
- Enter the width and height from the current UPSC signature instructions.
- Resize without stretching the handwriting.
- Inspect the strokes, then download and keep the original.
Common problems
Handwriting turns grey and thin
Shrinking a faint pen stroke too far removes ink. Start from a contrasty crop. If you also compress, use a higher quality than you would for a colour portrait.
The signature is stretched
A wide signature forced into a tall box will look unlike your usual sign. Crop to the sample ratio in the instructions, or set one dimension only.
File size is still too high
After the pixels are right, compress toward the KB figure in the same notice. Do not keep reducing pixels if the notice already names a minimum size.
The form rejects JPG or PNG
Export the format named in the instructions. Changing only the filename does not change encoding.
The portal says the image is invalid
Invalid can mean bytes, pixels, colour, or a corrupt download. Re-export from this page and compare each value with the notice. PixelThinks cannot read UPSC’s rejection code.
The file is under a minimum size
A very small crop may fall below a minimum KB rule. Use a larger crop or higher quality instead of inflating the file with noise.
Frequently asked questions
Can I resize my UPSC signature here?
Yes. Enter the dimensions from the current UPSC instructions. Check the download yourself; this is not an official UPSC utility.
Does PixelThinks upload my UPSC signature?
No. When the browser supports it, resizing happens on your device.
Why does the signature look worse after resize?
Small originals and strong downscaling both lose line detail. Use a sharper crop and avoid stretch mode.
Can I use this on a phone?
Yes. Confirm the downloaded signature is readable on the phone screen before you upload it to the form.
Is UPSC signature resize free?
Yes. No account and no daily cap. One file at a time, up to 30MB.
